What is the Transat?
A simple idea, born in 1993, on the initiative of Jacques Vabre brand, a coffee expert, and the city of Le Havre : to sail the mythical coffee route in a duo.
The Transat Jacques Vabre is now the longest double-handed transatlantic race.
Every two years, it invites enthusiasts and curious to its starting village to come and discover the racing boats and do many activities.
2021 edition:
On Friday 29 October, the Transat village opens to the public, for 10 days.
On the morning of Sunday 31st, the 80 competitors who will compete in this 15th edition will be presented. One week later, on Sunday 7th November at 13:27, the race will start. Destination Fort-de-France, in Martinique, with 3 different routes available to the skippers.
This edition will be largely devoted to environmental issues.

You can also visit the Belem, this prestigious three-masted ship, free and without reservation.
End your day with a return to land, enjoying a ride on our panoramic bus. We will take you on board to discover or rediscover Le Havre, a culturally rich city, thanks to a guided tour with an audio guide.
You will even see the Transat Jacques Vabre and the majestic sailing ship Le Belem from our bus!
Our Bee Bus departs at 3.30pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
Tickets can be booked directly on our website, at the shop (15 rue Robert de la Villehervé, 76600 Le Havre) or just before departure on the Place Perret.
