As part of 2019’s Women’s football World Cup, taking place in France from June 7th to July 7th, seven matches of soccer will take place in Le Havre city, in Normandy. One of the most awaited soccer matches is USA v Sweden (June 20th), which had all its tickets sold in a few weeks only. USA VS Sweden

USA’s Women’s football team won the 2015’s Women’s World Cup, as well as the Algarve Football Cup in Portugal (2015), the CONCACAF Women’s championship (2014) and London’s 2012 Olympic Games. They are now seen as the best women’s football team in the world, while the Men’s team has been approximatively between the 15th and 30th position the past 10 years, according the FIFA ranking.

USA is playing against Sweden, which has been in the FIFA’s top 6 from 2003 to 2014, and in Uefa’s top 5 since 2003, also in better position than the men’s team

France and Le Havre

The French team played against the USA for a “friendly” match of soccer in January 2019, resulting in France’s victory, scoring 3 to1. This football match took place in Le Havre, as will take place the match between Sweden and the USA. You will not be able to buy any more tickets for Sweden – USA as all the tickets have been sold, and the French Football Federation are expecting 22 870 supporters in Le Havre.

Also, Le Havre’s Athletic Club (HAC) has an American president, Vincent Volpe, and many American players have recently joined Le Havre’s women football team, hopping to compete with greater football teams.

How to get to Océane Stadium?

If you already have your ticket, Le Havre City’s transport company (LIA) will offer free shuttles from Le Havre City Centre, Montivilliers, and Gonfreville l’Orcher, which will take place counting from 3 hours before each football match, and will take you back to the same spot after the soccer match. All you have to do is show your football game ticket on the bus. If you are feeling sporty, you can also go to the Océane stadium by bike, as bike parks have been set up around the stadium.

For this match, we, Bee Le Havre, will also offer shuttles from Honfleur city centre to Le Havre, so that you can come to the match, no matter where you are staying.
